Munich Cricket Club

Since its inception in 1982, Munich Cricket Club has been a proud standard bearer for the game and its traditions. Winning has its place, but the Chairman also likes to ensure refreshments are plentiful. Opposing batsmen will take a shine to his gentle hand grenades.
Home games are played at the 'Hirschanger' in the Englischer Garten, arguably one of the most picturesque grounds in Germany, just a lofted off drive from the famous Chinese Tower biergarten. MCC would welcome touring sides who wish to play social weekend cricket during the 2006 season, especially those who might want to combine it with the World Cup. Members of the current MCC Committee are only too happy to field any enquiries about the club, however the ugly matter of vote-buying at the AGM is considered now closed.
Our squad consists of a nucleus of 25 players from all far-flung reaches of the globe - especially England and Australia. A sociable bunch with a conscience. MCC loves touring too, with tours this year to Slovenia, Switzerland, and Vienna. The new fathers in the team have all expressed considerable interest.
